The police called in all the people involved in the sex scandal for
questioning Wednesday after a young couple walked on stage in the middle of
a Cumshots’ concert Tuesday, took of their clothes and had sex, right there
in front of the audience.
As sex in public places in illegal in Norway, the five Cumshots band members
and the couple were fined NOK 10,000 (USD 1,470) each.
Law suit
Tommy Hol Ellingsen, age 28, and Leona Johansson, age
21, who pulled off the controversial stunt, have stated that they will not
pay the fine.
«No, this fine is ridiculous,» Ellingsen said to TV 2 Nettavisen. «There
will be no fine; there will be a court case and the whole nine yards.»
The couple has not yet hired a lawyer, but Ellingsen said he does not think
that will be a problem.
«There is not a problem to locate one,» Ellingsen stated. «The case has
gotten a lot of publicity, and there are probably a lot of lawyers who want
this case.»
«It is ridiculous that we are prosecuted and sentenced on a moral basis at
the same time as Norway is in the war against Iraq,» Ellingsen claimed.
«Violence is aired on TV every day, and if this is so terrible, we could
have called this performance art, and we wouldn’t have been fined then.»
Festival not fined
Kristopher Schau and the rest of the members
of Cumshots had Wednesday not yet decided whether or not to pay the fine
they received because they allowed the sex stunt at their concert.
The festival management stated that they had no idea of what was going to go
down on stage during Cumshots’ concert. Ellingsen and Johansson were listed
as part of Cumshots’ crew. Management apologized for the stunt and
apologized for the fact that the security guards did not going in and stop
the concert.
The police have decided not to press charges against the festival
management.
