A 2-year-old girl found her mother hanged in an electrical cord. The child’s
father is the main suspect.
The 26-year-old woman is currently at the MAS hospital in Malmö, Sweden.
According to the doctors, she was pronounced brain dead at approximately 6
p.m. Thursday.
“She has been hanging there too long in order for the doctors to be able to
save her,” said Göran Olsson, the detective inspector on call at the police
in Malmö, to the Swedish paper Aftonbladet.
The woman’s husband is suspected of trying to kill her.
Husband called the police
The woman’s husband called the police Wednesday night and allegedly said
that he had found his wife badly injured.
The police arrived at the scene ten minutes later, and they found the woman
hanging with electrical cords around her neck.
The 26-year-olds heart had stopped beating, but emergency personnel managed
to revive her. However, she was pronounced brain dead after an hour on the
respirator.
The woman’s husband has to the police denied attempting to murder his wife.
“My bother was on his way to work, but he had forgotten something at home
and turned around. When he opened the door, the couple’s 2-year-old daughter
came running,” explained the man’s brother to the paper.
